Planet Ark National Tree Day

On Friday the 24th of July it was Planet Ark National Tree Day. On this wonderful day full of life, all of the students at Berwick Lodge Primary School joined in the fun and we supported Planet Ark in there wonderful day. We used milk cartons as a planter box so we could have a little plant to take home and care for. I believe that everyone had a fun and enjoyable Planet Ark National Tree Day.

Planet Ark Day

On Friday 24th of July Berwick Lodge Primary School students and teachers participated in Planet Ark National Tree Day. From Prep to grade 6 students planted seeds into a milk carton. The first thing we did was decorate the milk carton. The second thing we did was actually plant the seed. We did this activity with our buddies after we had finished we had lunch.

In 2015 over 1.3 million seeds were planted by more than 3.5 million people who participated in Planet Ark Day. Overall they have planted over 22 million seeds since 1996.

Overall I think that the day was a complete success I had a lot of fun with my prep buddy.

On Friday the 24th of July, it was Planet Ark Day! We were celebrating at school it was very fun planting some plants for Planet Ark Day we also made some plant pots using old milk cartons and icy-pole sticks. what we did was we got our milk carton and covered them with the icy-pole sticks, we used PVA for the glue it took 24 hours for the glue to stiffen the glue and make sure that the icy-pole sticks are secure on the milk carton.

In the middle session 6N went to go and see our wonderful prep grade PT we helped out our buddies by gluing some of the icy-pole sticks once we did that we went outside to eat but overall I had a great day ūüėČ

Planet Ark Day 2015

On the 24th of July 2015 our school had its annual planet ark day where we respect the planet and all its beings that we share it with.

Our school did some fun activities like designing our own personal planting pots. We used recycled milk cartons (kindly donated by Mr Naismith) as a base, then we decorated with coloured icy pole sticks. In the afternoon we planted some plants in the decorated cartons and from then, they’ve been growing really well!

We also spent time with our wonderful buddy grade prep T, where we helped them finish off their amazing planter pots.

It was a great planet ark day and we all had an amazing time and our school now knows what a wonderful world we live in.

Planet Ark Day

On the 24th of July, it was National Planet Ark Day! We were celebrating the event at school. The first thing we did to celebrate was make little pots to later on plant some flowers.  We made these pots out of half a milk carton. Once we had made them, we all stuck on some colourful icy pole sticks with PVA glue, so then we had to wait for the glue to dry before we could do anything else.

So in the middle session, our class went to go and see our buddies in Prep T, and helped them with¬†sticking the icy pole sticks onto their milk cartons. It was a challenge as they had already planted their plants. At the end, the room was a mess! Glue was all over the tables! Sadly I didn’t get to stay until the very end to eat lunch with my buddy as I had a divisional netball competition to attend with Amber, Summah and Brodie ( from 6N). We¬†won 45-0!

Anyway, while we were away, our grade planted our seeds in our milk cartons. Overall I had a great day! ūüôā

Planet Ark Day

On Friday the 24th of July 2015 it was National Planet Ark day, it was a day for all the grades at B.L.P.S the day was about trees, plants and the environment it is about treating trees and plants with respect and it is nationwide. Everyone in B.L.P.S had made a little pot plant with a milk carton and Popsicle Sticks, we had to use the Popsicle sticks for a decoration for the milk cartons then we would have to bring the milk carton to the sink and put in seeds for them to grow and so far they have really good progression overall I loved Planet Ark Day making the box for The plants was really fun I enjoyed it.

Planet Ark Day

On the 24th of July 2015, the students and teachers at B.L.P.S celebrated Planet Ark Day. We celebrated by decorating plant boxes for ourselves and planting plants in them.

We also had lunch with our buddies and decorated their own plant boxes, with icy pole sticks. We were encouraged to wear green (since that is Planet Arks main colour) on the day and bring a gold coin donation. Overall I loved decorating plant boxes and helping our buddies decorate their own plant boxes

Planet Ark Day

On the 24th of July 2015, the students and teachers from BLPS celebrated Planet Ark Day. We all had to wear green clothes, since that was the main colour of Planet Ark. We planted a plant in a milk carton, then decorated it in coloured icy pole sticks. Then we got together with our buddies to eat lunch, and help them build there own plant boxes. My buddy got on quite well with the task. Overall the Planet Ark day at Berwick Lodge Primary School was a fun day for all of us.IMG_2478
